BEARDY WATERS WOODLANDS

Public BBQ

Beardy Waters Woodlands showcases beautiful riverside positioning with lovely shady trees, particularly stunning in autumn. However, this once-beautiful destination suffers from severe maintenance neglect. The location features wood-fired BBQ facilities and now includes a pit toilet, with recent improvements removing a derelict shed. Deep rutted access roads, overgrown walking trails, rubbish accumulation, and run-down shelters detract significantly from the natural beauty. Limited picnic facilities and difficult water access for kayaking further reduce appeal. While the riverside setting with beautiful trees and wildlife remains attractive, poor maintenance has transformed this previously pristine spot into a shadow of its former self. Visitors must bring their own picnic equipment beyond the available fire pit.
